Hall of Fame
Richard played four years of basketball at Plattsburgh State. In that time, he amassed 754 points, 977 rebounds and converted on 182 of 314 free-three attempts in 62 games. He pulled in 374 boards while averaging 13.4 points-per-game as a sophomore.
Richard was a team capatain, two-time ECAC All-East Team selection and Most Valuable Player of the 1960-61 Cardinals where he ranked eighth nationally in rebounding. After graduating, Richard taught science for nearly 30 years while gaining notoriety as a much-honored coach of Long Island youth lacrosse teams.
