Where are they now:
Bart currently works for Huntsman Corporation, an American chemical manufacturer, as Communications Manager EMEAI in the Advanced Materials division responsible for supporting operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. He acts as an adviser to the senior leadership team and manages activities related to employee engagement, media relations, marketing promotional campaigns, digital advertising and branding initiatives. After spending 12 years in Scotland, he and his family recently relocated to Poland. He is happily married to his wife, Gosia, and they have two small children: a son, Alex (6), and a daughter, Laura (4).
In terms of personal accomplishments, he says that “there isn’t a single accomplishment that I am particularly proud of on its own. Everything I’ve achieved to date is linked with one another and came as a result of hard work, self-belief and a bit of luck.” He cites some highlights as: his soccer career at Plattsburgh State; completing the Mississauga Marathon in 3 hours and 51 minutes; refereeing men’s soccer for eight years in Scotland as a Category 3 Referee in the Highland League and as a Linesman in Scottish League 1 and League 2; receiving a First Class grade in his Master’s degree in Corporate Communications & Corporate Affairs from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen; leading internal and external communications for global businesses in the energy, agriculture, and chemical industries; and fundraising £5,000 and traveling to India to spend a week helping out at a children’s orphanage - “a profound and life-changing experience!”
Favorite Plattsburgh State Sports Moment:
“Two moments - Year 3 where I won a long list of individual awards that I didn’t even know existed and Year 4 winning the SUNYAC Conference title with the team.”
