Plattsburgh State Athletics

During his four-year career, Gary Hare used his strength and skill to achieve success in both gymnastics and Acrotheatre. He co-captained the gymnastics squad during the 1968 and 1969 seasons. Hare was a consistent scorer, earning the top spot in dual meets 11 times while also contending for conference titles. He finished his career with 152 total points.

In 1966, Hare was vice president of the Acrotheatre club and served as president the next two years. A well-respected student-athlete, Hare earned was twice awarded for his successes and contributions at the annual banquet for all Cardinal athletes.

Where are they now?
After leaving Plattsburgh State, he began a career as a public school science teacher that continued at the time of his Hall of Fame induction.
