Hall of Fame
Dean Diltz was a standout performer for the Cardinals’ cross country and track and field teams. He captained both teams during his collegiate career while setting the school record in the steeplechase, with the 3,200-meter relay team and on the cross country course.
At the conclusion of his senior season, Diltz became a member of the SUNYAC Cross Country Country Hall of Fame.

Where are they now?
After graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh, Diltz joined ESPN as a senior publicist. At the time of his 1996 induction, he had won 36 awards from the College Sports Information Directors of America for writing and publication excellence as an editor for the Track and Field Writers of America newsletter. Diltz was also active with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
