Hall of Fame
James was a four-year starter and two-time captain in basketball during his time as a Cardinal. In 62 career games, he scored 994 points, including a career-high 296 as a senior. He also sank 204 free throws. While a star in basketball, James also excelled as a baseball player.
After his collegiate playing career ended, James entered the education field, serving as both a teacher and administrator. He served the North Country as a political leader and as a respected public servant.
