Lindsey (Keyser) Douglas served as a staple in the midfield during her four years, starting in all 74 games in which she played.
Douglas earned the program’s first-ever All-America honor in 2010, earning NSCAA Third-Team All-America distinction. The Keeseville, N.Y., native was also a two-time First-Team All-SUNYAC selection and an NSCAA First-Team All-Region honoree in 2010 in addition to being named to the SUNYAC All-Decade Team for the years 2010-19.
Douglas finished her career with 46 points on 17 goals and 12 assists and helped lead the Cardinals to two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances and a 45-19-10 record.

Where is she now:
Lindsey works as a special education teacher at Keeseville Elementary School in the Au Sable Valley School District. She provides consultant teaching services for students with learning disabilities in the general education setting in addition to serving as Au Sable Valley’s head girls’ soccer coach. Lindsey currently lives in Peru, N.Y., and has been married to her high school sweetheart, Mike, for eight years. Lindsey and Mike have two sons: Gabriel Keyser (4) and Benjamin Jack (2).
Among her professional accomplishments, she cites “being a fierce advocate for the protection of students facing discrimination for the way that they learn. I take great pride in allowing students who do not learn as typically as their same-aged peers and providing them with the appropriate tools and opportunities to be successful in an inclusive environment.” Lindsey also coached the Au Sable Valley girls’ soccer team to a NYSPHSAA state championship and Section VII title in 2021 and helped lead Au Sable Valley to the regional final in both 2018 and 2019. She was named the NYS Girls’ Soccer Class C Coach of the Year in 2021 and earned Section VII Girls’ Soccer Coach of the Year accolades in 2019.
She lists her most important personal accomplishment as being the mom to two amazing sons, Gabe and Benny. She has run six half marathons and three full marathons, qualifying for the Boston Marathon in 2017 with a time of 3:24 in the Quebec City Marathon. Lindsey also ran in the Boston Marathon in 2017. Other athletic accomplishments she remains proud of are serving as the all-time leading goal scorer in the history of Au Sable Valley, being inducted into the Au Sable Valley Hall of Fame in 2018 and serving as the first and only women’s soccer student-athlete to earn All-America honors in the history of Plattsburgh State.
