Few SUNY Plattsburgh men’s cross country student-athletes put together a finer career than Davidson did. During his days on the trails, Davidson took home a trio of All-SUNYAC First Team awards and earned a spot in the SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame.

On the national stage, Davidson was a three-time qualifier for the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships and enjoyed his fair share of successes at those particular meets. In 1998, he secured his first All-American honor with a 12th-place finish at the national meet before adding another All-American award to his collection thanks to a ninth-place finish in 1999.

For his efforts at the national meet in 1999, Davidson was named the Plattsburgh State Male Athlete of the Year for the 1999-00 season.

WHERE HE IS NOW:
Corey is employed by SUNY Plattsburgh as a Senior Financial Aid Advisor in the Financial Aid Office. He is married to Timolyn Lewis-Davidson and the couple resides in Cadyville, N.Y., with their three children - twin girls Molly Ann & Elise Katherine and infant son Isaac Ronald.

In addition to his bachelor’s degree, Corey owns a master’s of science degree in education and a certificate of advanced study in school counseling. In 2007 and 2009, he was awarded the Distinguished Professional Service Award by the Educational Opportunity Program.

FAVORITE PLATTSBURGH STATE SPORTS MOMENT:
”From a team standpoint, no Plattsburgh State sports moment was better than winning the 1998 SUNYAC Cross Country Championship. On the individual side, I was extremely proud to place 11th at the 1999 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships with an eight-kilometer personal best time of 24:08.”
