Jessica Allen compiled 14 goals and nine assists for 37 points from 1995-98. She was named to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference Team three times: honorable mention as a freshman, second team as a junior and first team as a senior. She was tabbed to the All-New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association squad in 1996.
As a freshman, Jessica helped Plattsburgh to a NCAA women's soccer tournament berth in 1995. She also played on the 1998 squad during her senior year that set a school record with 19 victories that still stands today, swept the SUNYAC regular-season (10-0) and tournament championships and captured the ECAC Upstate title.
Jessica also excelled in the classroom with four academic all-conference citations, but she saved her best work of combining athletic excellence and scholarly achievement for her senior year. In 1999, she became the first Cardinals athlete, male or female, to be named to the first-team of the College Sports Information Directors’ of America Academic All-America Team; won the Semmler Award Winner for having the highest grade-point average for a graduating Plattsburgh student-athlete; and earned a pair of scholar-athlete of the year awards from the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association and SUNYAC.
Jessica has also shined athletically during her post-collegiate career by winning three female marathon events hosted in Long Island, Virginia Beach, Va., and Buffalo, a total of seven times. A veteran of 17 marathons, she was inducted into the Kenmore West Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2008.
