Favorite Plattsburgh Sports Moment:
“During my senior year, in the NYSWCAA conference tournament, we played SUNY Cortland in the semi-finals and lost. We played Ithaca in the consolation game, and I believe to inspire us to the next level, Wiley told us at half-time that if we won there would be a chance we could get an at-large bid to the NCAA’s. We played our hearts out and one of our freshmen, Jamie Retersdorf, scored the game winner. That night we listened in on the NCAA call to find out we had just made our first ever NCAA Tournament. The amazing thing that year was there were more freshmen starting on our team than any other that I can remember and it was one of the best classes Wiley ever had. Thankfully I had the privilege of playing with them and being part of the first Plattsburgh State women’s soccer team to make it to the NCAA Tournament.”
