MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Plattsburgh State women's track and field team had eight different individuals score points, as the Cardinals finished fourth out of seven teams with 47 points at the Middlebury Indoor Invitational hosted by Middlebury College on Saturday afternoon.
 
Seniors Kaitlyn Bjelko (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Beekmantown), Journey Myricks (Westbay, N.Y./Shaker) and Bliss Rhoads (Copake, N.Y./Taconic Hills) and junior Jessica Landman (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent) scored points in multiple individual events.
 
On the track, Landman took third in the 200-meter dash (28.09) and fifth in the 60-meter dash (8.52). Bjelko, Myricks and Rhoads all scored points in both throwing events, with Bjelko placing fourth in the weight throw (12.32 meters – 40' 5") and sixth in the shot put (10.86 meters – 35' 7.75"), Myricks taking fifth in the shot put (10.90 meters – 35' 9.25") and seventh in the weight throw (11.28 meters – 37' 0.25") and Rhoads finishing fifth in the weight throw (11.52 meters – 37' 9.5") and seventh in the shot put (10.56 meters – 34' 7.75").
 
Senior Aislyn McDonough (Rouses Point, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton) was the runner-up in the 600-meter run (1:42.96), while sophomore Katie Bergé (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius), senior Kristen Boerke (Washingtonville, N.Y./Washingtonville) and junior Mikayla Osmer (Cutchogue, N.Y./Mattituck) took sixth (1.37 meters – 4' 6"), seventh (1.37 meters – 4' 6") and eighth (1.27 meters – 4' 2") in the high jump, respectively.
 
In addition, the Cardinals' 4x400-meter relay team of McDonough, first-year student Morgan Thompson (Porter Corners, N.Y./Corinth), sophomore Hannah Cluck (Johnson City, N.Y./Johnson City) and junior Madison Myer (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Carthage [N.Y.]) scored points with a seventh-place time of 4:43.44.
 
Host Middlebury placed first in the team standings with 229 points, followed by runner-up University of Vermont (217 points).

Plattsburgh State next competes at the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Utica College on Saturday, Feb. 5.
