High School: Competed in indoor track and field (four years), field hockey (four years) and outdoor track and field (two years) at Ward Melville High School... Served as a two-year captain on Ward Melville's indoor track and field team and was captain during her senior season on the outdoor track and field team... Four-time Scholar-Athlete... Helped Ward Melville win a Division IA league championship in 2020... Ranked third in the discus throw in Suffolk County... Awards earned included the Gold Key Award, the Tri-Sport Athlete Award, the Special Achievement Kevin Woods Award and the Four-Year Varsity Athlete Award... Gained field hockey club experience playing for the Long Island Field Hockey Club.
Personal: Daughter of Brian and Jill Thornton... Father, Brian, played lacrosse at NCAA Division I C.W. Post from 1986-90... Brother, Sean, played lacrosse at Springfield College from 2017-21... Sisters Kaitlin (2017-present) and Kerri (2018-present) currently play lacrosse for NCAA Division I Towson University... Enjoys skiing, jet skiing, boating, going to the beach, hanging out with family and friends and playing sports in her spare time.
