NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's track and field team is set to compete at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, Mar. 6, and Saturday, Mar. 7, at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS: The Cardinals will bring eight student-athletes to the meet this weekend, led by senior Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon), who holds the top seed in the 400-meter dash. Yarkosky is coming off a two-medal performance at the SUNYAC Championship, earning gold in the 400-meter dash and anchoring the gold-medal 4x400-meter relay team. She enters the 400-meter dash as the top seed with her program-record time of 55.55 seconds.

Yarkosky will anchor the 4x400-meter relay team alongside sophomores Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y. / Ichabod Crane), Brianna Wise (Niskayuna, N.Y. / Niskayuna), and Emma Mahoney (Spencerport, N.Y. / Spencerport). The group enters as the seventh seed with a time of 3:59.04.

Plattsburgh will also compete in the distance medley relay. Sophomore Ellie LeRoy (Malone, N.Y. / Franklin Academy), Mahoney, senior Ginny Lucchetti (Marcellus, N.Y. / Marcellus), junior Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa), and Wise are slated for the DMR and enter as the ninth seed with a time of 12:43.43.

Scott will also compete individually in the 60-meter hurdles. Her program-record time of 9.20 seconds places her as the 20th seed.

Senior Marissa Colvin (South Glens Falls, N.Y. / South Glens Falls) and Estus will also represent the Cardinals. Colvin is slated for the 5,000-meter run, while Estus will compete in the 3,000-meter run.

Colvin, Scott, the distance medley relay team, and the 4x400-meter relay team will compete on Friday, while Estus and Yarkosky are scheduled for Saturday. Doors open at 10 a.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

WHAT'S NEXT: The NCAA Indoor Championships, hosted by Birmingham-Southern College, are set for Friday, Mar. 13, and Saturday, Mar. 14. Only the top competitors in each event across the country will qualify.
