BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Sophomore
Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y. / Ichabod Crane) shattered her own indoor program record in the 60-meter hurdles by over 0.3 seconds, posting a time of 9.20 seconds and earning an All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifying mark as the Plattsburgh State women's track and field team competed on Day One of the SUNYAC Indoor Championships.
After Day One, Plattsburgh sits in fifth place with 18 points, fueled by strong performances from the distance medley relay team and Scott in the pentathlon.

Ginny Lucchetti (Marcellus, N.Y. / Marcellus), and junior
Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) posted Plattsburgh's highest finish on Day One, taking second place with a time of 12:51.60. Their effort earned eight points for the Cardinals and was also an AARTFC qualifying mark.
In the pentathlon, Scott narrowly missed a medal, finishing fourth and contributing five points. She won two of her five events, taking first in the 60-meter hurdles with a program-record 9.20 seconds and in the 800-meter run with a personal best of 2:37.68.

Marissa Colvin (South Glens Falls, N.Y. / South Glens Falls) scored three points for the Cardinals in the 5,000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 18:43.17, while junior
Taygin Jump (Coupeville, Wash. / Coupeville) earned two points in the weight throw with a personal best of 13.67 meters.
Senior
Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon) led the field in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.92, earning an AARTFC qualifying mark, and sophomore
Lexi McDonald (Altona, N.Y. / Northern Adirondack) secured the final qualifying spot in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.95 seconds. Both will compete in their respective event finals tomorrow.
The Cardinals will resume competition at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships tomorrow at the Special Events Recreation Center beginning at 10:30 a.m.
