NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's track and field 4x400-meter relay team broke the indoor program record as Plattsburgh competed on Day One of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships on Friday.
The squad of sophomores
Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y. / Ichabod Crane),
Brianna Wise (Niskayuna, N.Y. / Niskayuna),
Emma Mahoney (Spencerport, N.Y. / Spencerport), and senior
Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon) recorded a ninth-place time of 3:57.73.
The Cardinals also competed in the distance medley relay. The team of sophomore
Ellie LeRoy (Malone, N.Y. / Franklin Academy), Mahoney, senior
Ginny Lucchetti (Marcellus, N.Y. / Marcellus), and junior
Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) finished 14th with a time of 12:54.78.
Scott also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 9.41 seconds to place 24th.
The Cardinals will resume competition at the AARTFC Indoor Championships tomorrow, Mar. 7, at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory.
