The two-day State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Cortland from Friday, May 1, to Saturday, May 2, kick off the championship season. Before heading to regionals, Plattsburgh State travels to Williams for the Farley Inter Regional last-chance qualifier meet, taking place Friday-Saturday, May 8-9. The Cardinals then make their way to the two-day All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships on Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, taking place at Ursinus. The 2025 NCAA Division III Championships are slated for Thursday-Saturday, May 21-23, at Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
The men's team is coming off a fourth-place finish at the SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships last year, the highest finish for a Plattsburgh State men's team since 2006, and the women's team a fifth-place finish. Building on the momentum from the indoor season, Director of Cross Country and Track and Field
Nathan Petesch looks to guide both teams toward top finishes.
