SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y./Cornwall) of the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference office. This is his third career honor and the first weekly honor for the team this year.

Cypress placed first in the 200-meter dash as Plattsburgh State returned to action at the Middlebury Winter Classic. The senior sprinter clocked a time of 22.26 seconds, an AARTFC qualifying mark.

The Cardinals are next in action on Saturday, Jan. 24, when they travel to St. Lawrence to compete in the St. Lawrence Invitational.
