WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Junior
Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y./Cornwall) advanced to the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championship 100-meter dash final, placing sixth on Wednesday.
Cypress matched his career best mark and program record of 10.67 seconds in Wednesday's prelims, placing sixth and advancing to the finals tomorrow. Junior
Jordan Williams (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) placed 16th with an excellent time of 10.88 seconds, competing in the 100-meter dash preliminary round as well.
In the long jump, sophomore
Isaiah Ritter (Peekskill, N.Y./Peekskill) placed eighth, scoring for Plattsburgh with his career-best jump of 6.95 meters.Â
Junior
Samuel Van Auken (Greenville, N.Y./Greenville) competed in the final event of the day, the 10,000-meter run, finishing 17th with a time of 33:10,80.
Senior
Isaiah Martens-Collins (London, Ontario/Penticton) and first-year
Thomas Clark (Stone Ridge, N.Y./Rondout Valley) each competed in events on Wednesday, but did not produce marks.Â
The Cardinals will continue action tomorrow, Thursday, May 15, beginning with the high jump at 11 a.m.
