CORTLAND, N.Y. – Graduate student Aislyn McDonough (Rouses Point, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton) and senior Janyll Barber (Dannemora, N.Y./Saranac) of Plattsburgh State have been named 2023 Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selections by virtue of their performances at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships. McDonough earned First-Team All-SUNYAC honors, while Barber was a Second-Team All-SUNYAC honoree.

This marks Barber's fifth All-SUNYAC honor of her career, as she earned First-Team All-SUNYAC honors in 2019, Second-Team All-SUNYAC recognition in 2022 and 2018 and Third-Team All-SUNYAC kudos in 2021. McDonough earns her third All-SUNYAC plaudit, as she earned Second-Team All-SUNYAC kudos in 2022 and 2021.

McDonough completed the sweep of 800-meter run conference titles, as she won the event both at the indoor and outdoor SUNYAC championships. Her winning time of 2:15.10 at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships edged the second-place finisher, senior Raechel Zielinski of SUNY Geneseo, by a tenth of a second. McDonough also ran the second leg on Plattsburgh State's seventh-place 4x400-meter relay (4:24.46).

Barber placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a program-record time of 1:00.70 in addition to finishing fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.12). Her time of 14.97 in the preliminary heats of the 100-meter hurdles established a program record. Barber currently ranks fourth in NCAA Division III in the 400-meter hurdles, all but assuring her a spot in the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
