Meet Results

BOSTON – The Plattsburgh State men's track and field team combined for three All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifying times at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday.
 
Freshman Brendyn Marrero (Rock Tavern, N.Y./Washingtonville) clocked an AARTFC qualifying time of 22.37 in the 200-meter dash, finishing 67th out of 228 competitors. Freshman Jared Davidson (Washingtonville, N.Y./Washingtonville) charted an AARTFC qualifying time in the 200-meter dash as well, as he posted a 22.49 performance. Senior Andrew Horan (Albany, N.Y./Guilderland) dipped under the AARTFC standard in the mile run, covering the race in 4:20.29.
 
The 4x400-meter relay team of Marrero, freshmen Cameron Aviles (Campbell Hall, N.Y./Washingtonville) and Brexton Montville (Cadyville, N.Y./Saranac) and Davidson combined for a time of 3:24.17. In the 400-meter run, Aviles charted a time of 51.20, Marlon Peak Jr. (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Lakeland) posted a time of 51.69 and Montville recorded a time of 52.24. In addition to Marrero and Davidson in the 200-meter dash, Montville registered a time of 22.91, Peak Jr. logged a time of 23.02 and Aviles notched a time of 23.17.
 
Plattsburgh State competes in its final tune-up before the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Championships on Friday, Feb. 21, when it travels to St. Lawrence University for the SLU Open.
