MEET RESULTS

CANTON, N.Y. – Junior Marissa Jones (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit Valley), junior Elisabeth Plympton (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown), junior Brianna Coon (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) and freshman Victoria Whimple (Castleton, N.Y. / Maple Hill) all placed first in their events at the St. Lawrence Dual Duel In Newell on Saturday.

Jones won the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.57 seconds and won the 400-meter in 1:01.09.

Plympton placed first in the 60-meter dash crossing the finish line in 8.05 seconds and was second in the 200-meter with a time of 26.63 seconds.

Whimple won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.86 seconds and took first in long jump with a mark of 16' 2 ¼".

Coon took first in both shot put (38' 4 ¾") and weight throw (48' 7 ¼").

Sophomore Jackie Corbett (Pine Bush, N.Y. / Pine Bush) finished second in the mile with a time of 5:33.99 while junior Mikayla Barrett (Rotterdam, N.Y. / Schalmont) was third in 5:39.12.

Junior Kristina Watrobski (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) was second in the 3000-meters with a time of 10:47.05 and sophomore Jazz Roberts (Albany, N.Y. / Guilderland) finished third in 10:48.65.

Freshman Kristen Boerke (Washingtonville, N.Y. / Washingtonville) placed second in long jump (16' 1 ¾") and was third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.22 seconds.

Sophomore Desirae Blair (Queens, N.Y. / Bayside) placed third in the 60-meters with a time of 8.57 seconds.

Freshman Journey Myricks (Cohoes, N.Y. / Shaker) was second in shot put with a mark of 37' 2 ½" while sophomore Katie Gibson (Ballston Lake, N.Y. / Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) placed third with 35' 11½".

Junior Hannah Cunningham (Campbell Hall, N.Y. / Washingtonville) finished third in weight throw (42' 6¾") and sophomore Mikayla Rossier (Menands, N.Y. / Shaker) was second in high jump (4' 4¼").

Plattsburgh State will return to competition Saturday, Jan. 12, for the Middlebury Winter Classic.
