MEET RESULTS
CANTON, N.Y. - Senior
Brian Fabian (East Northport, N.Y. / Northport) of the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team won both the 200-meter and 400-meter dash at the St. Lawrence Dual Duel In Newell on Saturday.
Fabian ran the 200 in a time of 23.31 seconds and ran the 400 in 51.37 seconds both being State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) qualifying marks.
Freshman
Vincent Perna (Commack, N.Y. / Commack) placed second in long jump with a mark of 19' ¾" and was second in triple jump as well with a mark of 38' 3 ½".
Freshman
Jacob Leaper (Scotia Glenville, N.Y. / Scotia Glenville) finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.09 seconds.
Sophomore
Andrew Horan (Albany, N.Y. / Guilderland High) placed third in the mile with a time of 4:29.59 while senior
Adam Whitehead (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) was fourth with 4:35.15, both times hitting SUNYAC marks.
Junior
Kade Lampman (Ballston Lake, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) was third in both shot put (42' 5 ½") and weight throw (43' 4 ¼") with both marks being conference marks.
The men's 4x400 team of sophomore
Luke Groves (Slingerlands, N.Y. / Guilderland High), Horan, sophomore
Arthur Horan (Albany, N.Y. / Guilderland High) and freshman
Tyler Martin (Saranac Lake, N.Y. / Saranac Lake) took second with a time of 3:38.46.
Other SUNYAC qualifiers include sophomore
John O'Connor (Canajoharie, N.Y. / Canajoharie) in shot put (40' 6") and weight throw (41' 3") and sophomore
Michael Ferris (Latham, N.Y. / Shaker) also in both shot put (31' 9") and weight throw (40' 2").
Plattsburgh State will return to competition Saturday, Jan. 12, for the Middlebury Winter Classic.
