CANTON, N.Y. - Junior
Brianna Coon (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) of the Plattsburgh State women's track and field team broke the school record in weight throw while freshman
Victoria Whimple (Castleton, N.Y. / Maple Hill) broke the meet record in triple jump on Saturday at the Saints Holiday Relays hosted by St. Lawrence.
The Cardinals took second of eight teams.
Coon won the event with a mark of 50 feet and two inches and qualified for both the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) meet and the All-Atlantic Region track and field championships (AARTFC). She also qualified for both meets in shot put with a mark of 39 feet, 10.75 inches, good enough for second place.
Whimple won the triple jump with a mark of 37 feet, .025 inches, which qualifies her for both the AARTFC and SUNYAC meet. Whimple placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a SUNYAC time of 9.92 seconds.
Junior
Elisabeth Plympton (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) qualified for both AARTFC and SUNYAC in the 60-meters with a time of 7.98 seconds, which placed her second.

Freshman
Kristen Boerke (Washingtonville, N.Y. / Washingtonville) in both the high jump and the 60-meter hurdles. Boerke won the high jump with a mark of four feet, 11.5 inches and was third in the hurdles with a time of 10.05 seconds.
Junior
Hannah Cunningham (Campbell Hall, N.Y. / Washingtonville) placed third in weight throw with a mark of 40 feet, 11.25 inches. She hit SUNYAC marks in the shot put with a throw of 35 feet, 9.25 inches.
Sophomore
Katie Gibson (Ballston Lake, N.Y. / Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) also qualified in shot put with a mark of 33 feet, 10.25 inches as did freshman
Journey Myricks (Cohoes, N.Y. / Shaker) with a mark of 37 feet, 5.75 inches.
Sophomore
Janyll Barber (Dannemora, N.Y. / Saranac Central) was second in triple jump with a mark of 34 feet, 4.75 inches and was third in the 60-meters with a time of 8.28 seconds.
Sophomore
Anika Roberts (Holland Patent, N.Y. / Holland Patent) placed second in pole vault with a height of nine feet, 6.25 inches to qualify.

Junior
Marissa Jones (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit Valley) won the 500-meters in a time of 1:23.10.
Plympton won the 300-meters with a time of 42.82 seconds.
Barber was second in the 300-meters with a time of 43.44 seconds.

The women's 4x400-meter relay of junior Canet, Haley, Boerke and Jones place second with a time of 4:15.88.
The Cardinals are back in action Saturday, Dec. 8 for the SLU Dual Duel In Newell hosted by St. Lawrence.
