COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Plattsburgh State men's track and field team is set to compete at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 14, at Patterson Field, hosted by Ursinus.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS: The Cardinals are coming off a fifth-place finish at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships and will bring 12 student-athletes to the meet this week as they continue postseason competition.

Fifth-year Jeremiah Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y. / East New York Family Academy) enters the AARTFC Championships tied for 22nd in Division III in the long jump with his program-record mark of 7.24 meters. Juniors Isaiah Ritter (Peekskill, N.Y. / Peekskill) and Tyler Baker (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) will also compete in the event. Ritter's jump of 7.12 meters ranks 42nd in Division III, while Baker enters with a mark of 7.01 meters. Of the trio, Ritter most recently earned a silver medal in the long jump at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

In the sprint events, first-year Milo Pearsall (Cold Spring, N.Y. / Haldane) will compete in the 100-meter dash with a seed time of 10.95 seconds, while senior Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y. / Cornwall) enters the 200-meter dash with a seed time of 21.52 seconds after earning silver in the event at the SUNYAC Championships.

Sophomore Thomas Clark (Stone Ridge, N.Y. / Rondout Valley) and first-year Max Page (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) will both compete in the 110-meter hurdles. Clark holds the higher seed time at 14.99 seconds, followed by Page at 15.31 seconds.

The Cardinals will also compete in the 4x100-meter relay with a seed time of 42.36 seconds. The quartet of Pearsall and sophomores Ethan Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y. / Cornwall), Brian Shannon (Goshen, N.Y. / Goshen), and Jack Scauri (Hauppauge, N.Y. / Hauppauge) is slated to compete in the event.

Other Cardinals competing in field events include first-year Collin Pringle (Suffern, N.Y. / Suffern) in the triple jump with his program-record mark of 14.23 meters and sophomore Nathan Webber (Cadyville, N.Y. / Saranac) in the discus throw with a personal-best mark of 45.99 meters.

Baker, Clark, Page, Pearsall, Ritter, Smith, and the 4x100-meter relay team will compete on Wednesday, while C. Cypress, Pringle, and Webber are scheduled to compete on Thursday.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Division III NCAA Outdoor Championships, hosted by Wisconsin-La Crosse, are scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, May 21-23. Only the top 22 individual competitors in each event and the top 16 relay teams in each event nationwide will qualify.
