SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior guard Julia Greek (Long Island, N.Y. / Ward Melville) and senior forward Imani Walcott (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) of the Plattsburgh State women's basketball team have been named to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Third Team, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. This marks Greek's first career all-conference selection and Walcott's second, as she earned third-team honors in 2023-24.

Greek has served as a scorer and playmaker for Plattsburgh, leading the team and ranking third in the conference in assists per game. The junior guard was second on the team with 9.0 points per game and recorded nine double-digit performances, highlighted by a 28-point outing against Oswego State on Jan. 10. As a playmaker, the Long Island native averages 4.7 assists per game, highlighted by a career-high 13-assist performance against Potsdam on Jan. 27, which tied a program record. Greek also averaged 4.0 rebounds per game and totaled 27 steals, the second-most on the team. She earned SUNYAC Athlete of the Week honors on Feb. 2 after averaging 11.3 points, 10.0 assists, and 4.7 rebounds.

Walcott has been a strong two-way presence for the Cardinals, leading the team in points per game (11.0), rebounds per game (8.5), steals per game (1.3), and blocks per game (1.6). She was the only player on the team to average double figures in scoring and posted 17 double-digit performances, including a career-high 34 points against Keene State on Nov. 21. She ranked fourth in the conference in rebounding and recorded nine games with 10 or more rebounds, finishing with seven double-doubles, highlighted by a career-high 20 rebounds against Keene State on Nov. 21. Defensively, Walcott averaged 1.6 blocks per game, ranking fourth in the league, including a seven-block performance against Oswego State on Jan. 10 and a four-steal effort against Clarkson on Jan. 2.

Brianna Fitzgerald of New Paltz earned both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors, while Kayla Beaudoin of Oneonta was named Rookie of the Year. Head Coach Colleen Ames and her staff at Cortland were recognized as the Coaching Staff of the Year.

Plattsburgh State finished the season 16-11 and advanced to its second consecutive SUNYAC Tournament. The fourth-seeded Cardinals defeated fifth-seeded Oswego State 48-38 in the first round before falling to top-seeded New Paltz in the semifinals.
