WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Junior
Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y./Cornwall) finished second in the 100-meter dash as the Plattsburgh State men's track & field team competed on Saturday at the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza.
Cypress finished in second place by .002 of a second, with his time of 10.73 (10.729) seconds finishing just behind Kelvin Peterson of Wheaton with a 10.73 (10.727). Cypress also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.77 seconds. Both marks were All-Atlantic Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championship qualifying marks.
Sophomore
Isaiah Ritter (Peekskill, N.Y./Peekskill) finished eighth in the long jump, posting a mark of 6.62 meters. Sophomore
Tyler Baker (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh) finished 15
th in the same event, with a jump of 6.21 meters.
The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday, May 14 at the AARTFC Championship.
