ITHACA, N.Y. – For the fourth time this season, junior
Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y. / Cornwall) broke a program record, breaking his record in the 200-meter dash as the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team competed at Day 2 of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships on Saturday.
Cypress placed 4th in the 200-meter dash with his time of 22.03 seconds, breaking his previous school record time of 22.08 seconds. Cypress earned five points for Plattsburgh as the Cardinals finished tied for 29th place.
Rowan captured the team championship with 94 points.
Plattsburgh State wrapped up its 2025 indoor season with the AARTFC Championships and will begin their 2025 outdoor season on March 29 at 11 a.m., competing in the SLU Ice Breaker Open Meet hosted by St. Lawrence.
