2025-26 Roster
2025-26 Schedule

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's track and field team opens its 2025-26 indoor season on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Utica Holiday Classic hosted by Utica. Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Nathan Petesch enters his first season at the helm, joined by Associate Head Coaches Andrew Krug and Brett Willmott. The staff aims to guide the women's team to a better performance at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships following a fifth-place showing last winter.

The Cardinals return a deep and experienced roster that includes several SUNYAC champions and an All-Region performer from the 2024-25 indoor campaign. Headlining the group is Marissa LeDuc (Saranac, N.Y. / Saranac), who captured the SUNYAC pentathlon title, and the 4x400-meter relay SUNYAC championship team of Emma Mahoney (Spencerport, N.Y. / Spencerport), Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y. / Ichabod Crane), Brianna Wise (Niskayuna, N.Y. / Niskayuna), and Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon).

Distance
Coming right off the cross country season, the distance crew features an experienced mix of upperclassmen. Senior Marissa Colvin (South Glens Falls, N.Y. / South Glens Falls) leads a strong distance group after a third-place finish and earning All-SUNYAC Third Team honors in the 5000-meter run last season. Also, returning is junior Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa), who contributed to a fourth-place finish at the championship meet in the distance medley relay team last year, helping boost the Cardinals in the point standings.

The pair will be joined by a solid group of contributors in Ellie LeRoy (Malone, N.Y. / Franklin Academy) and Lexie Rostak (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown), who were both a part of the fourth-place finish at the championship meet by the distance medley relay team last year.

Other returners include Isabelle Cunningham (Bethlehem, N.Y. / Bethlehem), Ginny Lucchetti (Marcellus, N.Y. / Marcellus), Lillian Moran (Albany, N.Y. / Colonie Central), and Ella Stuttard (Oriskany Falls, N.Y. / Waterville).

The Cardinals welcome Nora Graves (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh), who joins the lineup after a solid season with the cross country team.

Hurdles
The hurdles group is led by senior Mikayla Khadijah (Cairo, N.Y. / Cairo-Durham), who continues to provide veteran leadership and experience, and Scott, who won the 400-meter hurdles at the outdoor conference championships last year.

Addison Burt (Liverpool, N.Y.), Jocelyn Harrington (South Glens Falls, N.Y. / South Glens Falls), Jaelynn Lacey (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh), and Kaitlyn MacDougall (Fonda, N.Y. / Fonda-Fultonville) will look to make an immediate impact in their first collegiate season.

Jumps
The jumps crew will feature all new faces as junior Deja Davis (Bronx, N.Y. / Paul Robeson) will compete as a jumper this year, joined by first-years Grace Damiani (Cadyville, N.Y. / Saranac), Chloe Elliott (Bronx, N.Y. / Belmont Preparatory), and Madalyn Wynnik (Dannemora, N.Y. / Saranac).

Harrington and Lacey will split time with the jumpers, alongside competing in hurdles.

Multis
LeDuc returns after a stellar indoor campaign in which she captured the SUNYAC title in the pentathlon. Last season, her title in the pentathlon was highlighted by two first-place finishes in the 800-meter run and long jump. LeDuc has been a consistent scorer for the Cardinals throughout her career and will again be a key contributor across multiple events this season.

Arianna Schuman (Farmingville, N.Y. / Sachem East) adds depth to the multi-group.

Pole Vault
Mahoney will aim to put points on the board in the pole vault, representing the Cardinals as the team's lone competitor in the event.

Sprints
The sprints unit is headlined by several key contributors who have already made their mark on the conference stage, including the 4x400-meter relay SUNYAC champions, Mahoney, Scott, Wise, and Yarkosky.

Along with her medal in the 4x400-meter relay, Yarkosky earned USTFCCCA Mideast All-Region honors in the 400-meter dash, secured a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash, and received All-SUNYAC Third Team honors in the 400-meter dash. Also returning to the sprint lineup is sophomore Anni Schneider (Latham, N.Y. / Shaker).

Newcomers Margot Danziger (Bethlehem, N.Y / Bethlehem Central), Alexa Markowicz (Peru, N.Y.), and Iysis Romani (Bronx, N.Y. / The College Academy) add promising depth to this already competitive group.

Davis, Elliot, and Wynnick will divide their time between sprinting and jumping events, while Mahoney will contribute to sprints and pole vault.

Throws
The throws group only returns junior Taygin Jump (Coupeville, Wash. / Coupeville), who gained valuable championship experience last season. She will be joined by first-year Elise Lendrum (Westerlo, N.Y. / Berne Knox Westerlo), who looks to strengthen the team's scoring potential in the throwing unit.

Bolstered by depth, proven championship experience, and new emerging talent, the Cardinals start the 2025-26 season well-positioned to contend for the SUNYAC Championship.
