UTICA, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men's track and field placed fourth at the Pioneer Spring Invite scoring 65.5 points. The Cardinals had six top-three finishes on the day.
Noah Bonesteel (Averill Park, N.Y. / Averill Park) posted an AARTFC qualifying mark in the 5,000-meter run as he finished second and set a new personal best with a time of 15:10.95 and collected eight points.
Brexton Montville (Cadyville, N.Y. / Saranac) won the 200-meter dash as he set a new personal best with a time of 22.03 seconds and collected 10 points for the Cardinals while
Michael Brockway (Washingtonville, N.Y. / Washingtonville) won the 10,000-meter run and posted a 33:20.59 time to collect 10 points as well.
Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y. / Cornwall) finished second in the 100-meter dash to collect eight points and set a new personal best time of 10.78 seconds while Montville scored five points in the 100-meter dash as he finished fourth with a time of 10.88 seconds.
Erik Kucera (Mount Sinai, N.Y. / Mount Sinai) had a strong showing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a second-place finish and a time of 9:55.02 as he earned eight points. The 4x100-meter relay team of
Jordan Williams (Bronx, N.Y. / Cardinal Hayes),
Justin Rushia (Warrensburg, N.Y. / Warrensburg),
Ryan Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y. / South Shore), and
Julius James (Bronx, N.Y. / Cardinal Hayes) placed second with a time of 44.92 seconds and earned eight points.
Nathan Alexander also collected two points in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as he posted a time of 10:49.07.
Graham Richard (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) collected a point on the day with an eighth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run as he posted a time of 15:48.82 which was a new personal best for the first-year distance runner. As well as collecting points in the 4x100-meter relay, Rushia also posted a new personal best in the 100-meter dash posting a 11.54-second mark.
Aidan Masten (Peru, N.Y. / Seton Catholic) and
Evan Rando (Saratoga Springs, N.Y. / Saratoga Springs) both placed sixth in their respective events. Masten had a 6.46-meter jump in the long jump as he earned three points and Rondo jumped 1.74 meters in the high jump and earned 2.5 points

Aidan Lobdell (Westport, N.Y. / Bouquet Valley) and
Zander Brown (Wappingers Falls, N.Y. / Roy C. Ketcham) both set new personal bests on the day. Lobdell upgraded his mark in the 100-meter dash with a 11.74-second mark and Brown upgraded his mark in the 1,500-meter run to 4:33.66.
Plattsburgh State is next in action on Friday, Apr 12 as they head to RPI for the RPI Under the Lights Invitational.
