CANTON, N.Y. – Junior
Brexton Montville (Cadyville, N.Y./Saranac) and sophomore
Michael Brockway (Washingtonville, N.Y./Washingtonville) each posted first-place finishes, as the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team opened up the outdoor portion of its schedule with a fourth-place finish out of six teams (70 points) at the Saints Ice Breaker Open hosted by St. Lawrence University on Saturday.
Montville took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.93, while Brockway paced the field in the 5,000-meter run with a 16:22.47 performance.
First-year students
Noah Bonesteel (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) and
Justin Kumrow (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) finished runner-up in the 1,500-meter run (4:13.85) and the 5,000-meter run (17:06.21), respectively.
Plattsburgh State next competes at the Saints Broken Open hosted by St. Lawrence on Saturday, April 2.
