                     Meet Results
CANTON, N.Y. – Junior 
Brexton Montville (Cadyville, N.Y./Saranac) and sophomore 
Cody Monnat (Croghan, N.Y./Beaver River) each won individual events, helping lead the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team to a third-place finish out of six teams with 69.5 points at the SLU Open hosted by St. Lawrence University on Friday. The meet served as the Cardinals' final tune-up before the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Championships.
 
Montville won the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.05, while Monnat captured the 400-meter dash in 52.17. Among SUNYAC leaders this season, Montville's time ranks third, while Monnat ranks 14th.
 
The 4x400-meter relay team of first-year students 
Nicolas Anderson (Bronx, N.Y./All Hallows) and 
Noah Bonesteel (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park), sophomore 
Levi Sochia (Norfolk, N.Y./Norwood-Norfolk) and Monnat charted a second-place time of 3:41.61, while Bonesteel finished third in the 800-meter run (2:03.16). In the field events, junior 
Aidan Masten (Peru, N.Y./Seton Catholic) placed third in the long jump (5.86 meters – 19' 2.75").
 
Plattsburgh State next competes at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships hosted by SUNY Brockport from Friday-Saturday, Feb. 25-26.
