CORTLAND, N.Y. – Sophomore Jared Davidson (Washingtonville, N.Y./Washingtonville) of the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week, as announced Monday by the conference office. This marks Davidson's first SUNYAC Track Athlete of the Week honor.

Davidson won both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash at the SLU Invitational on Saturday, clocking times of 11.04 and 22.25, respectively. Both marks met SUNYAC and All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualification, but the men's 100-meter dash was wind aided with regard to qualifying for the AARTFC Championships. His 200-meter dash performance ranks 18th in the region and second in the SUNYAC, while his 100-meter dash time ranks third in the conference. He also led off the Cardinals' first-place 4x100-meter relay that posted a time of 44.13.
 
Plattsburgh State next competes at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships from Friday-Saturday, May 7-8, at SUNY Cortland.
