MEET RESULTS
TROY, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's track and field team finished third of 14 teams at the Capital District Classic hosted by RPI on Saturday.
The 4x400-meter relay of junior
Marissa Jones (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit Valley), sophomore
Janyll Barber (Dannemora, N.Y. / Saranac Central), junior
Taylor Canet (Peru, N.Y. / Peru) and freshman
Aislyn McDonough (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Northeastern Clinton) won the event with a time of 4:05.91.
Jones won the 200-meters in a regional time of 25.42 seconds.
Junior
Elisabeth Plympton (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) won the 100-meter dash with a SUNYAC time of 12.84 seconds and finished second the 200-meters with a regional time of 25.49 seconds.
Junior
Brianna Coon (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) took second in the shot put with a regional mark of 12.22 meters (40' 1¼").
Freshman
Victoria Whimple (Castleton, N.Y. / Maple Hill) placed second in long jump with a SUNYAC mark of 5.09 meters (16' 8½") and was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a SUNYAC time of 16.41 seconds.
Canet finished third in the 800-meters with a SUNYAC time of 2:22.94.
Barber took fourth in the 200-meter with a SUNYAC time of 26.54 seconds.
McDonough was placed in the 800-meters with a SUNYAC time of 2:23.99.
Freshman
Journey Myricks (Cohoes, N.Y. / Shaker) was fourth in the discus throw with a SUNYAC mark of 33.40 meters (109' 7").
Sophomore
Desirae Blair (Queens, N.Y. / Bayside) finished fourth in javelin with a SUNYAC mark of 32.49 meters (106' 7").
The Cardinals will travel to Brockport. N.Y. for the SUNYAC championship on Friday and Saturday, May 3-4.
