MEET RESULTS
CANTON, N.Y. – Sophomore
Janyll Barber (Dannemora, N.Y. / Saranac Central), junior
Marissa Jones (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit Valley), junior
Brianna Coon (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) and junior
Elisabeth Plympton (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) of the Plattsburgh State women's track and field team all set meet records at the Saints Ice Breaker Open hosted by St. Lawrence on Saturday.
Barber set the meet record in the 400-meters with time of 1:01.99 to win the event. She also set a meet record in the long jump with a SUNYAC qualifying mark of 17' 0¾" to win the event and finished second in the 200-meters in a time of 27.27 seconds.
Jones set a meet record in the 800-meters with a time of 2:25.90 to win the event.
Plympton won the 200-meters with a new meet record time of 26.30 seconds. She won the 100-meters in a regional qualifying time of 12.62 seconds.
Coon set the meet record and won shot put with a regional mark of 38' 10¼" and was third in javelin with a SUNYAC qualifying throw of 110' 6".
Freshman
Victoria Whimple (Castleton, N.Y. / Maple Hill) won the 100-meter hurdles in a SUNYAC qualifying time of 16.38 seconds.
Sophomore
Jackie Corbett (Pine Bush, N.Y. / Pine Bush High) won the 1500-meters in a SUNYAC qualifying time of 5:08.10.
Freshman
Journey Myricks (Cohoes, N.Y. / Shaker) won the discus with a SUNYAC qualifying throw of 113' 0".
Sophomore
Desirae Blair (Queens, N.Y. / Bayside) placed second in the javelin with a SUNYAC qualifying throw of 114' 6".
Freshman
Aislyn McDonough (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Northeastern Clinton) placed second in the 1500-meter with a time of 5:09.72 and was second in the 800-meters with a time of 2:29.99, both SUNYAC qualifying times.
Freshman
Kristen Boerke (Washingtonville, N.Y. / Washingtonville) finished third in the 400-meters with a time of 1:09.07.
Freshman
Isabel Dashnaw (Canton, N.Y. / Hugh C. Williams) was third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.50 seconds.
The 4x400 relay of junior
Taylor Canet (Peru, N.Y. / Peru), sophomore
Faith Haley (Cadyville, N.Y. / Saranac High School), Whimple and Jones took first with a time of 4:11.82.
The 4x100 relay of Blair, Dashnaw, freshman
Ava Cristiano (Loudonville, N.Y. / Emma Willard School) and Canet placed second with a time of 53.61 seconds.
Plattsburgh State will compete at the St. Lawrence Broken Open on Saturday, April 6.
