MEET RESULTS
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Sophomore
Luke Groves (Slingerlands, N.Y. / Guilderland) of the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team won the 1000-meters in a time of 2:40.75 on Saturday at the Middlebury Team Challenge.
Sophomore
John O'Connor (Canajoharie, N.Y. / Canajoharie) placed third in weight throw with a mark of 48' 6.25" and was ninth in shot put with a mark of 39' 4.5", both SUNYAC qualifying marks.
Sophomore
Andrew Horan (Albany, N.Y. / Guilderland) finished fifth in the mile with a time of 4:27.79 while senior
Adam Whitehead (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. / Roy C. Ketcham) placed sixth with a time of 4:31.89 and Groves took ninth with a time of 4:34.53, all SUNYAC qualifying times.
Senior
Brian Fabian (East Northport, N.Y. / Northport) placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.59 seconds.
Junior
Kade Lampman (Ballston Lake, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) threw 44' in weight throw to finish seventh and 40' 5.0" in shot put to take eighth.
Sophomore
Brenden Jung (Greenville, N.Y. / Minisink Valley) finished 11th in the 400-meters with a SUNYAC qualifying time of 53.74.
The Cardinals will compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22-23.
