BOSTON, Ma. - Senior Brian Fabian (East Northport, N.Y. / Northport) ran a season best in the 400-meters at the prestigious John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University on Saturday while the Plattsburgh State men's track and field team placed fifth at the Middlebury Invitational.

Fabian crossed the finish line in a time of 49.47 seconds to finish 34th of 131 athletes.

At Middlebury senior Adam Whitehead (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) placed second in the 800-meters with a time of 2:02.10.

Sophomore Luke Groves (Slingerlands, N.Y. / Guilderland) finished second in the 1000-meters with a time of 2:40.84.

Junior Alex Hepburn (Corning, N.Y. / Corning-Painted Post) was fourth in the high jump with a mark of 5' 8.00".

The Cardinals are back in action Saturday, Feb. 2, for the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
