MEET RESULTS

CANTON, N.Y. – The No. 28 Plattsburgh State women's track and field team won both relays and had six individual wins at the Saints Indoor Invitational on Saturday hosted by St. Lawrence.

The 4x200 meter relay of junior Elisabeth Plympton (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown), junior Marissa Jones (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit Valley), Ava Cristiano (Loudonville, N.Y. / Emma Willard School) and sophomore Desirae Blair (Queens, N.Y. / Bayside) placed first in a time of 1:51.83.

The 4x400 team of sophomore Janyll Barber (Dannemora, N.Y. / Saranac Central), freshman Victoria Whimple (Castleton, N.Y. / Maple Hill), freshman Kristen Boerke (Washingtonville, N.Y. / Washingtonville) and sophomore Mikayla Rossier (Menands, N.Y. / Shaker) finished first in a time of 4:23.60.

Plympton won both the 60-meters and the 200-meters in All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) marks of 8.00 second and 26.24 seconds respectively.

Junior Brianna Coon (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) was first in weight throw with an AARTFC mark of 48' 9".

Whimple placed first in the 60-meters hurdles with a SUNYAC qualifying time of 9.92 seconds.

Sophomore Janyll Barber (Dannemora, N.Y. / Saranac Central) was first in long jump with a SUNYAC mark of 17' 0½".

Sophomore Anika Roberts (Holland Patent, N.Y. / Holland Patent) finished first in pole vault with a SUNYAC mark of 9' 8".

Barber placed second in the 200-meters with a SUNYAC time of 26.81 seconds.

Boerke  was second in the 60-meter hurdles (10.17 seconds) and second in long jump (16' 6"), both SUNYAC qualifying marks.

Junior Hannah Cunningham (Campbell Hall, N.Y. / Washingtonville) finished second in weight throw (42' 10") while Jones was second in the 800-meters (2:36.27).

Coon was third in shot put with an AARTFC mark of 38' 1½".

Junior Taylor Canet (Peru, N.Y. / Peru) was third in the 400-meters with a SUNYAC time of 66.01 and sophomore Mikayla Rossier (Menands, N.Y. / Shaker) placed third in high jump (4' 5").

Sophomore Desirae Blair (Queens, N.Y. / Bayside) third in 60-meters (8.62) and freshman Rebecca Block (Lake Grove, N.Y. / Sachem North) finished third in the mile (5:37.10, SUNYAC).

Other AARTFC qualifiers are freshman Journey Myricks (Cohoes, N.Y. / Shaker) in shot put (37' 10").

Other SUNYAC qualifiers include: freshman Isabel Dashnaw (Canton, N.Y. / Hugh C. Williams) in the 60-meter hurdles (10.69), sophomore Katie Gibson (Ballston Lake, N.Y. / Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) in shot put (35' 1¾") and weight throw (41' 9"), Cunningham in shot put (34' 11¼") Myricks in weight throw (38' 4") and freshman Kaitlyn Bjelko (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) weight throw (33' 1").
