Box Score CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's soccer team reeled off its sixth-straight win against Cortland Friday evening, 1-0 on an
Anissa Hartmann game-winner in the 87
th minute.
Despite being outshot 20-9 the Cardinals featured a bend not break defense.
The first half was a relative quite 45 minutes as Cortland generated the only real scoring chance.

Nichole Gibson came off her line to cut the angle and make the save.
In the second half, Cortland came out of the gates strong applying constant pressure on Plattsburgh State.
In the 47
th minute, Kennedy Cocozzo for the Red Dragons ripped a shot that deflected off the crossbar.
Eight minutes later, it was Cortland back on the prowl firing three shots in a row from inside the box but Gibson remained strong making two saves in the sequence.
After Plattsburgh State was able to weather the storm they took their turn to go on the attack.
In the waning minutes Cardinals' junior
Ashlie Guinness sent a pass to fellow junior Hartmann 20 yards from the goal. The Fairfax, Vt., native gathered the ball before sending a shot on net beating Red Dragons' goalie Victoria Barclay for the game-winner.
It's the forth-consecutive game that Plattsburgh State has scored the game-winning goal in the 87
th minute later, including three by Hartmann.
Hartmann leads the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) with eight goals and 16 points.
Gibson earned her fifth shutout of the season making nine saves in the process. Barclay contained three saves in the losing effort.
Plattsburgh State improves to 7-2-1 and a perfect 2-0-0 in the SUNYAC. Cortland falls to .500 at 5-5-0 and 1-2-0 in the SUNYAC.
The Cardinals will get right back at it on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Oneonta as they look to keep their unbeaten SUNYAC record alive and their seventh-straight win.
