Game One:

The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead in the first inning of game one when Brittany Marshall scored on a ground out to the shortstop after stealing second and third base following a lead-off walk to start the game.

A Marshall walk and stolen base to start the third resulted in the second Cardinal run after the Lakers misplayed a bunt.

Oswego rallied in the bottom of the fifth when they laced a triple down the right field line. Sue Schoff drove a run in with a single to right center field.

Sarah Thayer took the loss with a stat line of two hits, two runs, six strikeouts and eight walks. Heather Loughran picked up the win after scattering five hits over seven innings of work.

Game Two:

The Cardinals turned another walk into a run during the second inning of the nightcap when Dana Mandery doubled down the left field line following an Erin Florkiewicz walk and a ground out advanced Florkiewicz to second base.

Plattsburgh built a 3-0 lead in the fifth when Marshall blasted a two-run home run into left center field. The Cardinals led off the sixth with a solo shot by Brianna Clarke to make the score 4-0.

Plattsburgh tacked on another run in the seventh when Megan Price grounded out to bring Katie McNally home and make the final score 5-0.

The Cardinals return to action tomorrow when they visit the SUNYAC-leading Cortland Red Dragons. The double header will start at 12 p.m.
