POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Plattsburgh State women's basketball fell to the Clarkson Golden Knights this afternoon, 50-79, in Potsdam. The Cardinals and their host both now hold a season record of 1-3 each.
The Golden Knight jumped out to an early lead and the Cardinals just could not catch up. Plattsburgh pulled within five with 10 minutes to go in the half, thanks to the layup prowess of Taylor Amarando, but that would be the closest they would come to the hosting Knights.
Amarando accounted for nearly half of the Cardinals points, racking up 23, along with 11 rebounds. Catherine Cassidy dished out a team-high two assists and nabbed three steals, while Kristen Licata recorded the team's lone block of the day.
Michelle Reddinger led Clarkson with 19 points, followed by Katie Goldberg with 16. Laura Pluchino posted 10 rebounds for the Golden Knights.
