Play of the Year Voting Link

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation has announced the 2025-26 Plattsburgh State Athletics Play of the Year nominees, and voting will be held from now until April 28 for fans to vote. Voting will begin today, April 23, for all of the general public at the link attached at the top of this release and will conclude at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28.

The nominees for the 2025-26 Plattsburgh State Athletics Play of the Year are:

Men's Soccer – Game-tying goal with 28 seconds remaining vs. Clarkson
Women's Soccer – Sydney Myers draws and converts a penalty kick to send Plattsburgh to the SUNYAC Final vs. Fredonia
Women's Hockey – Bailey MacKellar scores the overtime game-winner vs. No. 4 Middlebury
Women's Indoor Track & Field – Grace Yarkosky places second in the 400m at the Indoor NCAA Championships
Baseball – Colin Ross delivers an extra-inning walk-off home run vs. Oneonta
Men's Lacrosse – Dyan Ruland scores the game-sealing goal vs. Oswego
Men's Hockey – Colin Callanan nets the overtime game-winner vs. Stevenson
Men's Basketball – 5-on-4 defensive stop followed by a Reem Welch game-winning basket vs. Morrisville
Men's Indoor Track & Field – Isaiah Ritter long jump at the SUNYAC Championships, qualifying for the Indoor NCAA Championships

The Play of the Year will be announced at the Plattsburgh State End of the Year Awards Ceremony, which is slated for Monday, May 4. While not open to the general public, a livestream will be broadcast for fans, parents, family, and friends to watch at home.
