PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State Cardinals softball team earned one State University of New York Athletic Conference all-conference selection, as junior shortstop
Sara Isaacs received Second Team All-SUNYAC honors following a standout 2026 season.

Sara Isaacs was one of the SUNYAC's top offensive performers throughout conference play, leading the Cardinals in every major statistical category. Isaacs batted .436 in conference play while ranking second in the league with 29 RBI. She also posted an .873 slugging percentage, good for second in the SUNYAC, and tied for the conference lead in home runs. A consistent extra-base threat, Isaacs finished second in the conference in extra-base hits.
Overall, Isaacs hit .411 on the season while leading the team with 44 hits and 52 RBI. Her 52 RBI ranked second in program history for a single season. She also led the Cardinals with a .794 slugging percentage and a 1.245 OPS, while her slugging percentage established a new program single-season record. Isaacs also totaled eight home runs on the season, which ranks third in program history for a single-season performance.
The Cardinals finished the 2026 season with a 13-22 overall record and went 7-11 in SUNYAC conference play.
