PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The 2026 NCAA Division III Week kicks off Monday, April 6, as NCAA Division III institutions across the country celebrate the unique student-athlete experience. Throughout the week, we'll be highlighting our student-athletes on social media, giving them a platform to share what it means to compete at the Division III level by responding to questions posed to participants.
Each day from April 6-12, the Plattsburgh State social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and X will feature student-athlete responses to various questions, with full quotes also posted on gocardinalsports.com. Below is more information on each question being posed to participating student-athletes.
- What's your favorite part about being a Division III athlete?
- What's the toughest part about balancing your sport, academics, and social life, and how do you handle it?
- What values has Division III built in you?
- What made you choose the Division III path over other options?
- How do you take pride in representing SUNY Plattsburgh?
- What is one moment as a student-athlete at Plattsburgh that you'll never forget?
- In three words, how would you describe your student-athlete experience?
As part of the Division III Identity Initiative, the first NCAA Division III Week was organized in 2012 to highlight the division's distinctive features. This week honors the overall student-athlete experience, emphasizing the balance between demanding coursework, competitive athletics, and meaningful involvement, while also celebrating the impact that student-athletes, athletics programs, and the division have on campus and in the community.
