2026 Baseball Schedule
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State baseball program has released its 2026 schedule, as announced Friday by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation.
Entering his fifth season at the helm, head coach
Sam Quinn-Loeb and the Cardinals will look to build on last year's campaign as they aim for a strong showing in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play.
The team opens its season on the road against Bard on Saturday, Feb. 28, followed by a doubleheader at Vassar on Sunday, Mar. 1. The Cardinals then travel to Skidmore on Wednesday, Mar. 4, before facing SUNY Purchase in a doubleheader on Sunday, Mar. 8.
Plattsburgh State returns to the Northeast for a three-game stretch from Friday, Mar. 13 through Sunday, Mar. 15, with matchups against NJCU, John Jay and SUNY Maritime. The Cardinals then travel to Wilson College for a road contest on Sunday, Mar. 16, before heading to Scranton, Pennsylvania, for a pair of games against Marywood on Tuesday, Mar. 17, and Kings on Wednesday, Mar. 18.
Conference play begins on the road with a doubleheader at Cortland on Friday, Mar. 21, followed by another doubleheader at Fredonia on Friday, Mar. 27, and Saturday, Mar. 28. The Cardinals then travel to Middlebury on Tuesday, Mar. 31.
Plattsburgh State returns home for a series of matchups, beginning with a single game against Oswego on Friday, Apr. 3, followed by a doubleheader against the Lakers on Saturday, Apr. 4. The team hosts Canton for a doubleheader on Tuesday, Apr. 7, and welcomes Clarkson on Wednesday, Apr. 8.
The Cardinals continue their schedule with a single game against Middlebury on Tuesday, Apr. 14, and travel to Norwich on Thursday, Apr. 16. SUNYAC play resumes with a game against Oneonta on Friday, Apr. 17, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 18. Plattsburgh State travels to Clarkson on Monday, Apr. 20, and hosts Canton on Tuesday, Apr. 21.
The team concludes its regular-season schedule with a doubleheader at New Paltz on Friday, Apr. 24, and Saturday, Apr. 25, followed by a doubleheader at St. Lawrence on Tuesday, Apr. 28. The top four teams in the final regular-season SUNYAC standings will qualify for the double-elimination SUNYAC Tournament, which will take place over the first two weekends of May at the top-seeded team's site.
