The Cardinals added three more runs in the sixth, highlighted by an RBI single from Provost and a two-run double off the bat of Luciano Fiorello (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall) to cut the deficit to 11–4. St. Lawrence answered in the bottom half with a three-run home run to seal the 14–4 final.
Game two saw a similar early surge from the Saints, who struck in the first inning with an RBI single to take a 1–0 lead. St. Lawrence then capitalized on multiple Plattsburgh errors in the second inning, scoring four runs, three unearned to extend its advantage to 5–0.
The Saints continued to add on in the third with a pair of RBI singles, pushing the lead to 7–0 before the Cardinals responded in the fourth. Austin Caldwell (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) got Plattsburgh on the board with a two-run single, scoring Frankie Kowal (Shrub Oak, N.Y./Lakeland) and Ryan Hart (Portland, Ore./Jesuit). Fiorello followed with an RBI base hit to plate Caldwell and trim the deficit to 7–3.
