2025-26 Plattsburgh State Women's Basketball Schedule
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's basketball team will open its 2025-26 schedule on Nov. 8 as they kick off a 25-game slate schedule, as announced Wednesday by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation. Led by fifth-year head coach
Ben Sarraf, the team sets its sights on a second straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) appearance.
The Cardinals went 14-12 (10-8 SUNYAC) in the 2024-25 season, finishing tied for fourth in the standings. The team earned the fifth seed in the SUNYAC Tournament, where they matched up with the fourth-seeded Kangaroos, falling in the first round.
The Plattsburgh State women's basketball 2025-26 schedule tips off at home when they host RPI on Nov. 8 before welcoming Mount Holyoke, Potsdam, and Utica for the Cardinal Classic on Nov. 14 and 15. The Cardinals matchup with Mount Holyoke on Nov. 14 to open the Cardinal Classic and take on Utica on Nov. 15. Plattsburgh State closes out November with three straight road games, first traveling to St. Lawrence on Nov. 18 before traveling to host Williams for a two-day tournament where they are set to play Keene State on Nov. 22 and either St. Joseph's (Conn.) or Williams on Nov. 23.
The Cardinals open their SUNYAC schedule at home against Fredonia on Dec. 5 and then welcome Buffalo State on Dec. 6.
Following the December break, Plattsburgh State is back in action in January with their final non-conference game of the season when it hosts Clarkson on Jan. 2. After back-to-back games on the road at Canton on Jan. 9 and at Oswego State on Jan. 10, the Cardinals begin a three-game homestand, beginning with a matchup against Potsdam on Jan. 13. Plattsburgh State then closes out the weekend at home against Morrisville on Jan. 16 and Cortland on Jan. 17. The Cardinals next travel to Oneonta on Jan. 23 followed by a trip to New Paltz the next day on Jan. 24.
Plattsburgh State begins a busy week with a midweek contest on Jan. 27, traveling to Potsdam before welcoming Oswego State on Jan. 30 and Canton on Jan. 31 to close out the month. The team's February schedule begins with a four-game road trip, as they take on defending SUNYAC Champion Cortland on Feb. 6, followed by a matchup with Morrisville on Feb. 7. The Cardinals then travel to Buffalo State on Feb. 13 before taking on Fredonia on Feb. 14 in their SUNYAC road finale.
Plattsburgh State will wrap up its season at home when it hosts New Paltz on Feb. 20 and Oneonta on Feb. 21 to conclude its 2024-25 regular season schedule.
The top six teams qualify for the SUNYAC tournament, with the top two seeds earning byes to the semifinals and the bottom four seeds beginning the tournament in the first round on Feb. 24. The regular season champion will then host the final four teams, with the semifinals set for Feb. 27 and the championship game set for Feb. 28.
