MEET RESULTS
CANTON, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's track & field team competed at St. Lawrence on Friday evening for their Twilight Invite, as the team readies for the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships set for next weekend. The team finished in second place with 167 points, behind only the host St. Lawrence Saints.
Junior
Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon) highlighted the day for the Cardinals with the lone All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Championship qualifying mark, as she posted a personal best time of 58.43 seconds in the 400-meter dash. First-year
Brianna Wise (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) placed third in the same event, posting a personal best mark of 1:02.66.
The day began for Plattsburgh in the 4x100-meter relay as the team of sophomore
Deja Davis (Bronx, N.Y./Paul Robeson), first-year
Lexi McDonald (Altona, N.Y./Northern Adirondack), first-year
Quinn Jolicoeur (Altona, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton), and first-year
Anni Schneider (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) finished third with a time of 55.21 seconds.
Ellie LeRoy (Malone, N.Y./Franklin Academy) competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as the sole competitor, posting a mark of 12:58.64.
First-year
Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y./Ichabod Crane) competed in the 100-meter hurdles, winning the event with a time of 16.96 seconds, finishing ahead of junior
Mikayla Khadijah (Cairo, N.Y./Cairo-Durham), who ran a time of 17.94 seconds to place second. McDonald placed third in the event with a time of 18.09 seconds. Scott also ran in the 400-meter hurdles and set a new personal record (PR) with her time of 1:07.34 to win the event.
Junior
Marissa Colvin (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) posted a PR in the 1,500-meter run, as she placed fourth in a strong field with a time of 4:54.04.

Emma Mahoney (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport), and Scott ran a near AARTFC time of 4:08.02, a new meet record at the SLU Twilight Invite.
In the field events, junior
Marissa LeDuc (Saranac, N.Y/Saranac) was one of a few Cardinals to win events, claiming victory in the long jump with her best mark of the day at 4.91 meters. Sophomore
Taygin Jump (Coupeville, Wash./Coupeville) won the hammer throw and the javelin for the Cardinals in a strong effort Friday. She posted a mark of 38.23 meters in the hammer throw and a mark of 29.20 in the javelin.
Senior
Alaina Conners (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) finished third in the hammer throw, tossing her first attempt of the day 31.25 meters. First-year
Harmony Sanders (Geneseo, N.Y./Geneseo) placed second in the shot put with a throw of 8.84 meters, and Khadijah also placed second, as her 22.49-meter throw in the javelin was the runner-up mark. Mahoney was second in the pole vault with a result of 2.75, which she cleared in her second attempt.
The Cardinals next compete beginning on Friday, May 2, when they travel to Cortland for Day One of the SUNYAC Championships.
