MEET RESULTS
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Plattsburgh State women's track and field team traveled to Middlebury, Vermont, on Saturday, competing in the Middlebury Invitational. Junior
Marissa Colvin (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) led the was,y winning the 5,000-meter run with a personal best and an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) championships qualifying mark of 18:37.26.
Other top five finishes came from junior
Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon) placed fourth with a 59.32-second finish in the 400-meter dash, while first-year
Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y./Ichabod Crane) was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with her time of 1:07.66. Sophomore
Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) was fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:37.27.
Senior
Sarah Smith (Lake Pleasant, N.Y./Wells) led a group of four Cardinals in the 1,500-meter run, placing sixth with a time of 5:26.26.
Ella Stuttard (Oriskany Falls, N.Y./Waterville) posted a personal best time in the 5,000-meter run as she posted a mark of 21:11.04 to place ninth.
In the high jump, junior
Marissa LeDuc (Saranac, N.Y./Saranac) finished sixth as she cleared 1.31 meters. She was also sixth in the javelin with a throw of 26.16 meters, a personal best.
Sophomore
Taygin Jump (Coupeville, Wash./Coupeville) was fourth in the javelin, as she had a throw of 28.58 meters, and Harmon Sanders (Geneseo, N.Y./Geneseo) was sixth in the shot put as she had a personal record with her throw of 9.81 meters.
First-year
Emma Mahoney (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) competed in the pole vault and posted a mark of 2.65 meters to finish fifth with her new personal best mark.
The Cardinals are next in action on Friday, April 25, for their final meet before the conference championships, heading to St. Lawrence for the SLU Twilight Invite.
