PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State senior guard/forward Payton Couture (Redford, N.Y. / Saranac), sophomore guard Selma Deisz (Bekkestua, Norway / Nadderud VGS), and junior guard Jaden Wilson (Johnstown, N.Y. / Johnstown) were all named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. This is Couture's second career honor, and she has advanced to the Academic All-America ballot, where teams will be announced on Apr. 16, and this is the first career honor for both Deisz and Wilson.

To be eligible for this ballot, student-athletes must excel on the court and in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and must be at least sophomores academically and athletically.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
