Six Cardinals Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

2025 CSC Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State senior forward Claire Bottjer (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes), senior midfielder Kelly Licata (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North), junior Sydney Myers (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Saranac), junior Lia Parker (Cadyville, N.Y./Saranac), sophomore Bailee Lafountain (Mooers Forks, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton), and sophomore Leah Warren (Lisbon, N.Y./Lisbon) have each been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team following the conclusion of the 2025 regular season.

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must excel both on the field and in the classroom, holding a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA while being at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined achievements in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors recipients across four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Bottjer, a Communication Sciences and Disorders major with a 3.91 cumulative GPA, appeared in 19 games for Plattsburgh this season, starting 11 and logging 892 total minutes while recording two assists.

Licata, also a Communication Sciences and Disorders major, holds a 3.93 cumulative GPA. She appeared in 18 games, starting all of them, and played 1,345 total minutes while tallying three goals and one assist.

Myers, an Elementary Education major with a 3.99 cumulative GPA, appeared in 19 games this season, starting 18 and playing 1,526 minutes. She registered 11 goals and five assists.

Parker, an Early Childhood Education major with a 3.53 cumulative GPA, appeared in 18 games, starting 15 and logging 1,249 minutes while recording one assist.

Lafountain, a Communication Sciences and Disorders major with a 3.78 cumulative GPA, appeared in 18 games, starting 13 and playing 786 minutes while posting three goals and two assists.

Warren, an Adolescent Education/Biology major with a 3.96 cumulative GPA, appeared in 19 games, starting nine and totaling 509 minutes while recording two goals and one assist.
