ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men's track and field team is set to begin competition at the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships beginning on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Nazareth University's Golisano Training Center. The Cardinals are bringing a handful of student-athletes as they qualified for regional competition with their marks over the indoor season.
For Plattsburgh, five individuals will compete while the 4x200-meter relay team will also race this weekend.
Junior
Noah Bonesteel (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park) has the highest seeded time of any Cardinal, as his 4:14.99 mark in the mile run currently has him third in the region as he will compete at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 2.
Sophomore
Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y./Cornwall) is the lone Plattsburgh athlete competing in two individual events, as he qualified for the 200-meter dash and the 60-meter dash. Fifth-year student
Brexton Montville (Cadyville, N.Y./Saranac) and sophomore
Jordan Williams (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) will each compete in the 60-meter dash, with Montville's 6.95-second run from last weekend seeding him 15
th.
Aidan Masten (Peru, N.Y./Seton Catholic) will also compete for the Cardinals in the long jump.
The 4x200 group of Cypress, Montville, Williams, Masten, and
Ryan Beltran (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) is the sixth-seeded group with a mark of 1:32.18
